About Early Bird Bookkeeping.
Hi, I’m Lesley, the bookkeeper behind Early Bird Bookkeeping.

I’ve spent my career working behind the scenes in finance and operations, helping organizations stay organized, informed, and confident in their numbers. With Early Bird Bookkeeping, I bring that experience to small businesses who want reliable books without the pressure or formality of a big accounting firm.

I work with business owners at all stages — whether you need help getting caught up, support at month-end, or steady ongoing bookkeeping you don’t have to think twice about. My role is simple: to make your financial side feel clear, manageable, and taken care of.

Professional Experience
Running a small business means wearing a lot of hats and bookkeeping often ends up being the one that gets pushed aside until something feels off.

My work has always lived in that space where clarity matters: making sure the numbers are accurate, the systems make sense, and nothing important slips through the cracks. Over the years, I’ve helped organizations untangle messy processes, tighten up their financial workflows, and build systems that people can actually rely on.

What that looks like in practice is this:
-
spotting inconsistencies before they become problems
-
setting up simple, repeatable processes
-
keeping things organized so month-end doesn’t feel stressful
-
making financial information easier to understand and trust

I bring that same approach to small businesses through Early Bird Bookkeeping — scaled appropriately, without unnecessary complexity, and tailored to how you actually work.

What That Means for You
When you work with me, you’re getting more than someone to “keep the books up to date.” You’re getting a bookkeeper who understands how good financial systems support good decisions — and who takes the time to make sure everything feels clear and manageable for you.

I know what clean, reliable books look like, where issues tend to pop up, and how to prevent small problems from turning into stressful ones later. My goal is to help your finances feel organized, trustworthy, and easy to stay on top of — so you can focus on running your business with confidence.
Services
I provide flexible bookkeeping support for small businesses, including ongoing month-to-month bookkeeping, support with accounts payable and receivable, payroll and government filing coordination, catch-up and clean-up work, and clear month-end and year-end support.

Whether you’re looking for steady ongoing help or support with a specific area, my focus is on keeping your records accurate, organized, and ready to work smoothly with your accountant, without the pressure of a full-time hire or unnecessary complexity.

And if you’re not sure exactly what kind of help you need, that’s okay! You don’t have to figure it out before reaching out. Send me a message and we can talk through what’s going on and what would be most helpful for your business.
